i have to explain it using knowledge of physical states of other halogens. what i know about other halogens is that they become more polarized as they go down group 8a, and that at the top, such as f2, they are ges, and near the bottom, I2 and At, they become solid, where At is a metallic solid. so obviously At is going to be a solid, but i haven't the slightest clue what chlorine monofluoride and iodine monochloride would be. help please :S
