Questions on taking care of my carbon steel knife? Please help?

Hey, I got a USMC Ka-bar 1095 Carbon steel blade and i've never had anything except stainless steel. How do i oil it? What oil do i use? Do i oil it and wait for it to dry or what? Also i have a partial serrated blade but it isnt sharp at all, It doesn't even have a point its like round.. The blade isnt that sharp either. How do i go about sharpening these? Im sorry about all the questions but im very puzzled, Thanks for taking a look!
