What do you think this poem means?

at first it looks like something about how people are screwing up nature and stuff, but when I thought deeper I kinda thought that it might mean something about how people's minds are made to take in all these thoughts, belifes and ideas that are already built up by others, and that theres no more room for people to think of things for themselves.
